Another busy, busy day here with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Today, after helping Mrs. Claus collect ingredients for the big ginger bread house she makes every year, she put me in charge of printing off the most recent batch of letters to Santa. There were so many to go through, but I loved every minute of it. I was suprised by how many of you children are asking for elves for Christmas. When Santa read the letters to us later than night, more than a few were really excited to come live with children around the world and play with their toys. I think I'd like to stay here though. I would miss Santa and Mrs. Claus too much if I moved away.
Santa, had some special notes that we wanted me to pass on to some of the kids that wrote too him. Shayla, Santa wanted to tell you that your dad was a lot like you when he was ittle. He had moments when he was naughty but mostly he was a very good little boy. He also told me to tell you to always try to be good to your brother because he loves you and looks up to you. Kira, Santa said that he would try very hard to remember to leave a trace of his hand for you on Christmas morning. Let's see what else was there . . Oh yes, William. Santa thinks it is very nice of you to write on behalf of your brother and to ask him not to bring your brother coal. Santa knows that your brother is trying very hard to be good and doesn't believe in giving coal to children who are really trying to be on the nice list. I think that maybe all I can remember. Oh Jordan, Santa thanks you for the compliment on how nice his "fluffy beard" looks. He works really hard on brushing all the cookie crumbs out of it, so he really appreciated your kind words.
Okay, that enough for now. Keep those letters coming, and I'll do my best to pass along Santa's responses.

Hello all, Krinkle checking in once again! Another day of adventure here in the north pole under my belt. The day started off with running an errand for Mrs. Claus. She asked me to take her ice skates to the elf Jingle. Jingle has a big machine that spins around and sharpens skates so that they cut into the ice better. Jingle keeps his machine in a little shack in the forrest because its so loud that when its running you can't here yourself think. Mrs. Claus asked me if I knew where his shack was, and I really, really thought I did. So me and my young reindeer friend, Jasper set out into the forrest to find Jingle's shack. Well me must have taken a wrong turn along the way because before we knew it we were in Snow People Village. Wouldn't you just know it, all the snow people there were having their yearly hoola-hoop contest. Now I know I was supposed to go straight to jingle's shack to get Mrs. Claus' ice skated sharpened, but I really, really love to hoola hoop! Long story short, Jasper and I entered the snow people hoola hoop contest.
Maybe you knew this already, but Jasper and I were taken by surprise by how serious the snow people take their hoola hooping. They have whole routines set to music that they glide around to, sometimes they juggles snowballs, and all while keeping six or seven hoola hoops going at once. It is really incredible and I didn't have a chance of winning because I'm not that good. My reindeer pal Jasper, howerver, it turns out he's a hoola hooping expert. He got three going around his legs, two around his hips, and I lost count of how many he had spinning around his antlers. Even the snow people were impressed and he was given a special ribbon for his performance.
When the competition was over we set out again for the shack and followed some footprints in the snow that we were sure were going to lead us there. Well those tracks lead us right back to Santa's workshop because they were the tracks we had made when we left their earlier. Rats! And of course who do we meet when we get there, but Mrs. Claus, who was more than a little surprised that her skates weren't sharpened yet. She lead us inside and printed a map off on her computer so that we wouldn't get lost again. Jasper and I headed out for a third time and before we went too far, Jasper realized I was holding the map upside down. He took over the directions from that point and we got there in just a few minutes. Jingle sharpened Mrs. Claus' skates while we waited, and Jasper got us safely back to Santa's workshop. When we got back, we listened to Santa read some of the letters he had gotten, had some dinner and played with some of the toys in the workshop until it was time to bed. So now I'm about to cuddle under this big piece of red cloth laid out on my bed. I don't know where I got it, but it sure is warm. Talk to you again soon.

As Santa’s personal assistant, first of all let me say, I love the guy. I love him; he’s a sweetheart, a living saint, the reason why we are all here in the North Pole, of all places, and, most importantly, he brings joy to children all around the world. So what’s not to like right? Well let me tell you. Christmas is a little more than three weeks away and do you think he’s getting ready for his big sleigh ride on December 25th? Shoot, I think the sleigh is still in storage and Santa, he’s just spends all day trying out toys. “Is this vdeo game going to work for Jordan?” he asks. “Will Taylor like this bike?”. Meanwhile I’m running around like crazy to make sure the latest naughty/nice reports are being run and that elf choir practice is taking place. And what about the reindeer? Who’s going to train them if not Santa. The last time an elf tried, Comet took off and we didn’t see him or the elf for three weeks. Turns out Comet flew off to someplace in Indiana, where a few of his relatives lived. More... |
